Dorothy "DoDo" (Elash) Ambrose

Dorothy "DoDo" Ambrose, 71, of Duquesne, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. Born in McKeesport, April 26, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Ann V. (Jakub) Elash. Mrs. Ambrose was a former member of the former St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church of Duquesne and a Cashier at Rite Aid, West Mifflin. She was the beloved wife of Charles "Moe" Ambrose. She is also survived by her loving children, Dawn (Scott) Backus, Lori Ambrose, and Brian Ambrose all of Duquesne; two grandson's, Alec and Brennan Backus; a brother, John (Cleo) Elash of Elizabeth Twp., and a sister, Beverly (John) Cardo of East McKeesport. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Pierce and Arlene Grieser.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-9 P.M. on Monday August 28, 2017 in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Inc., Richford & Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne. A prayer service will be conducted at 8 P.M., Monday, August 28th in the Memorial Home with Rev. Andrew Deskevich officiating.
