William Vojnovich, 85, of Moon Twp. passed away peacefully in Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford on Thursday, August 23, 2018. He was born January 8, 1933 in Duquesne to the late Eli and Mary Stipanovich Vojnovich. Mr. Vojnovich graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and worked as project manager/civil engineer in the ship building and metals industry before retiring. He is survived by two children, Eli Vojnovich of Aliquippa and Marisa (Stephen) Gardner of Franklin Park, two grandsons, Jacob and Matthew Gardner. He is also survived by a sister, Helen Vojnovich Medic of Irwin, three brothers, Donald (Milena) Vojnovich of N. Huntingdon, Mark and Eli Vojnovich of Duquesne, and sister-in-law, Dolores Vojnovich of North Huntingdon as well as many nieces and nephews. Mr. Vojnovich was also preceded in death by a brother, John Vojnovich.
Family and friends will be received at the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Inc., Richford & Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne, on Sunday August 26th from 2-6 pm and Monday August 27th from 9-11 am. A private burial will take place in Union Cemetery, Irwin.
