Albert R. Michaels

Albert R. Michaels, 84, of Duquesne died Saturday Feb. 7, 2015 in Pittsburgh. Born in Duquesne Dec. 10, 1930, he was the son of the late Michael and Julia (Tokarsky) Michaels. Mr. Michaels was a member of Holy Trinity R. C. Church, West Mifflin, the parish Men’s Club, past commander of the Duquesne American Legion, caretaker of Holy Trinity Cemetery, a former employee of U. S. Steel Corp. Homestead Works, and proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict. Beloved husband of Aleen (Wasko) Michaels, he was the loving father of Jeffrey (Sally) Michaels of Elizabeth, Kerry (Meg) Michaels of Leechburg, brother of Mary Bifano of Mt. Lebanon and “pap” to Christopher (Amanda) Michaels, Emily (Brandon) Quinn, Timothy Michaels, Lauren Michaels, and great grandpap to Peyton and Easton Michaels. He was preceded in death by brothers; Frank, George and Michael and sisters; Julia and Betty.

Friends will be received from 7-9 P.M. Monday and 2-4 and 6-9 P.M. Tuesday in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford & Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne. A Blessing in the Memorial Home on Wednesday at 9:30 A. M. will be followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Holy Trinity Church with Rev. Joseph Grosko as celebrant. Burial with military honors will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, West Mifflin.
