Bette Jo (Andersen) Vesonder

Bette Jo (Andersen) Vesonder, 77, died Sunday May 13, 2012 in Apostolic Christian Restmor Home in Morton, IL. Born August 10, 1934 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Sarah (Chisholm) Andersen, Sr. She married Ronald Vesonder in 1955, in McKeesport, PA., and celebrated a church wedding on January 20, 1965 in Peoria,IL. and he preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 2005 in Peoria. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Peoria and the Illinois Valley Striders. She is survived by a son; Saul (Modesta) Vesonder of Laurel, MD, two daughters; Sarah (Dan, Sr.) Boyd of Fosterburg, IL. and Ruth (Mike) Towns of East Peoria, IL., three grandchildren; Daniel Boyd Jr., Katie Jo Boyd, and Edwin Vesonder. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Andersen Jr. and a sister, Gertrude Decker.

                Friends will be received on Friday from 2-9 P.M. in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford and Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne, PA 15110. (WWW.Skovrankos.com) Funeral Services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Saturday in the Memorial Home Chapel by Rev. Dennis Moriarity and burial will follow in Calvery Cemetery, Port Vue.
