Dolores M. (Rufft) Werntges, 89, of Duquesne, died peacefully at home, on Thursday, February 19, 2015. Born in Carrick on October 30, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace Marie (Pietz) Rufft. She was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish, Duquesne. Beloved wife of the late William H. Werntges Sr.; she was the loving mother of William H. Werntges Jr., Nancy (Frank) Siffrinn and Judy (Mark) Schlaich. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Katie Siffrinn, Jorma, Berny, Renee, and Paul Werntges, Dan, Patrick, and Johnny Schlaich; and three great-grandchildren, Scarlette, Dahlia, and Sevy Werntges; she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles “Jack” and Robert Rufft, and a sister, Narene “Rene” Schmitz.
Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-9 P.M. in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford and Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne. A Blessing service in the Memorial Home on Tuesday February 24, 2015, at 9:30 A.M. will be followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Holy Name Church, Duquesne, with Rev. Thomas Lewandowski as celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Name Cemetery, West Mifflin.
