Dorothy (Potoma) Hleba, 80, of West Mifflin, died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015. Born Nov. 29, 1935, in Duquesne, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Sophie (Slotter) Potoma Sr. Dorothy was a lifelong faithful member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne, the Parish Club, a former Girl Scout Leader and a retired registered nurse of Shadyside Hospital and Forbes Regional. The beloved wife of 49 years of the late Andrew B. Hleba, she is survived by three loving daughters, Laurie (John) Krupa, of Munhall, Amy (Mark) Race, of North Huntingdon, and Betsy (Tom) Wiggins, of North Huntingdon; six devoted grandchildren, Andrew and Alex Wiggins, Lucy and Maggie Race and Silas and Molly Krupa; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Peter Potoma. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the WILLIAM S. SKOVRANKO MEMORIAL HOME, Richford and Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne. A blessing at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, in the Memorial Home, will be followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul Church with the Rev. John Cuccaro as celebrant. Burial will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, West Mifflin. Parastas services will be offered at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Memorial Home. Her passions in life, other than baking and sending greeting cards, were the joys she had with her family and the love for her church.
