Emma L. (Prakop) Babyak

Emma L. (Prakop) Babyak, 94, of West Mifflin died peacefully Thursday January 23, 2014 at home. Born April 3, 1919, in Duquesne, she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Bornyak) Prakop. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Duquesne. Beloved wife of the late Stephen M. Babyak, she is survived by three loving sons; Gerald (Kathleen) Babyak of Acme, Steven (Rita) Babyak of Forest Hills, and Les (Donna) Babyak of Allison Park, a brother; Richard “Chick” Prakop of Duquesne; a sister, Irene (Late Edward) Wilmans of White Oak and four grandchildren; Brian, Stacey, Jamie and Kristen Babyak. She was preceded in death by two brothers; John and William Prakop and a sister; Marian Clark.

Friends and family will be received from 2-8 P.M. on Sunday in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford & Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne. Prayers will be offered at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, January 27, 2014 in the Memorial Home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11A.M. in St. Joseph Church with Rev. Dennis Colamarino as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin.
