George C. Tomina, 92, of West Mifflin died Tuesday May 28, 2013 in Select Specialty Care, McKeesport. Born August 13, 1920, in Braddock, he was the son of the late Peter and Anna Prezgy Tomina. George was also preceded in death by his beloved wife Susan Ondovic Tomina and his loving son George E. Tomina. He is survived by nieces and nephews and caring neighbors. Mr. Tomina was a retired die maker for Fisher Body, West Mifflin, and a member of Resurrection Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin, and a former member of St. Michael’s Parish, Munhall. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the African Middle Eastern Theatre.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-9 P.M. in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford and Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 31 at 10 A.M. in Resurrection Church with Rev. Nicholas Mastrangelo as celebrant. Burial with military honors will follow in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
