Helen A. (Suchta) Gambal, 98, formerly of Duquesne and Dravosburg, died peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2019, in Riverside Care Center, McKeesport. Born in Duquesne on April 11, 1921, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Turcik) Suchta. Mrs. Gambal was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin and a retired housekeeper for Jefferson Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Gambal and the loving mother of Donald (Grace) Gambal of Cleveland, Ohio and the late Thomas Gambal. She is also survived by a sister, Pauline Perhac of Duquesne. In addition to her parents, husband and son she was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Andrew and George Suchta, and three sisters, Mary Karafa, Anna Karafa, and Virginia Skoczylas.
Family and friends will be received in the William S. Skovranko emorial Home Inc. Richford and Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne on Tuesday June 4, 2019 from 9:30 A.M. until a Blessing Service at 10:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in Holy Trinity Church, West Mifflin, with Rev. Thomas Lewandowski as celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, West Mifflin.
