Helen F. (Ferkanin) Petrosko

Helen F. (Ferkanin) Petrosko, 90, of West Mifflin, died peacefully Thursday April 5, 2012, in Paramount Senior Living, Pleasant Hills. Born in Czechoslovakia, November 12, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Yuhas Ferkanin and the beloved wife of the late George Petrosko who died Sept. 18, 2010. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne and a retired accounting department employee of Westinghouse, Bettis Power Plant. Mrs. Petrosko is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Ferkanin of West Mifflin, a nephew, Wayne (Linda) Petrosko of Greensburg and a great niece, Angela Petrosko. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Veronica Chokey and Mary Petrosko.

            Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford and Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne. A Blessing in the Memorial Home on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at 1 P.M. will be followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1:30 P.M. in SS. Peter and Paul Church with Rev. David Bosnich as celebrant. Burial will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, West Mifflin. Parastas service will be offered at 3:30 P.M. on Monday in Memorial Home.
