John Dojcak, 89, of Elizabeth Twp., fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at home. Born June 21, 1925 in Duquesne, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Ivano Dojcak Sr. Mr. Dojcak was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne, a retired employee of U. S. Steel Duquesne Works with 42 years of service and a U. S. Navy veteran of WWII. Beloved husband of the late Maryann (Bereznak) Dojcak, he is survived by a son, Gregg (Danielle) Dojcak of Winchester, Virginia, a daughter, Stephanie Dojcak of Elizabeth Twp., two sisters, Mary Voytko of Duquesne, and Helen Leibold of Elizabeth Twp., two grandchildren, Angela and Rosemarie Dojcak, a sister-in-law, Irene (late Jay) Meininger of Elizabeth Twp. and a brother-in-law, Steve (Mary) Bereznak of Monroeville and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews, especially Kevin Voytko, whom he adored. John was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Jr. and Eddie Dojcak.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday from 1-4 and 7-9 P.M. in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford and Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne. A Blessing at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday July 9, 2014 in the Memorial Home will be followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in SS. Peter and Paul Church, Duquesne, with Rev. John Cuccaro as celebrant. Burial will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, West Mifflin. Parastas service will be conducted at 3:30 P.M. on Tuesday.
