Mary (Mindas) Cmar, 89, of Munhall, formerly of West Mifflin, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, after suffering from the results of a massive stroke in April of this year. Born on September 23, 1932, in Hrhov, Slovakia, she emigrated to Duquesne, at 14 years of age. She was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Sopko) Mindas. She was wholeheartedly welcomed into the arms of her loving husband, Edward J. Cmar, Sr., who died in 1987, reunited together, and endlessly catching up on their beloved family memories in heaven. She is survived by her loving children, Carol (Patrick) Fleming of West Mifflin, and Edward J. Cmar of Columbus, Ohio, her grandchildren, Nicholas (Melissa) Fleming, Angela (Nathan) Bundy, Joseph (Samantha) Fleming, Rebecca Cmar, Patrick Fleming, Jr., and Samuel (Jeanie) Fleming, as well as the lights of her life, her great-grandchildren, Connor, Rowland, Eden, Everleigh, Blake, Brody, Gunnar and Blaise, all of whom she prayed for daily.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford and Commonwealth Avenue, Duquesne.
