Mary (Magdich) Holuka, 94, formerly of Duquesne, died peacefully Wednesday, November 2, 2016, in Eldercrest Nursing Center, Munhall. Born February 13, 1922, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Justina (Mazej) Magdich. Mrs. Holuka was a member of S S Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne.

Loving mother of Robert Holuka and former daughter-in-law Karen Holuka, both of West Mifflin, and most beloved grandma and favorite shopping partner of her one and only granddaughter, Amy Graham of Texas. Also survived by two great grandchildren, Kyler Maddigan and Kinley Graham and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Holuka was preceded in death by her late husband of 74 years, John Holuka who died April 6, 2016, a son John Holuka, a brother, Michael Magdich and a sister Ann Merranko.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Sunday, November 6, 2016, in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford and Commonwealth Avenue, Duquesne. A blessing at 9:45am on Monday, November 7, 2016, in the Memorial Home will be followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial in S S. Peter and Paul Church at 10:30am with Rev. John Cuccaro as celebrant. Burial will follow in S S. Peter and Paul Cemetery, West Mifflin.

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff of Eldercrest for Mary's care the past nine years.
