Mary (Sztroin) Pesta

Mary (Sztroin) Pesta, 83, of Duquesne fell asleep in the Lord, Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born January 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Hollis) Sztroin. Mrs. Pesta was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne. Beloved wife of the late Mike Pesta, she is survived by her loving children, Michael Pesta of Duquesne, Barbara (Mark) Sloss of Bethel Park, Mary Ann Pesta of Duquesne and two grandchildren, Karen and Evan Sloss. She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Charles and Michael Sztroin and a sister, Ann Fencik.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8P.M. in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford & Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne. A Blessing in the Memorial Home on Wednesday November 6 at 9:15A.M. will be followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10A.M. in SS. Peter & Paul Church, Duquesne, with Rev. John Cuccaro as celebrant. Burial will follow in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, West Mifflin. Parastas services will be offered at 2:30P.M. on Tuesday in the Memorial Home.
