Michael Bereznak

Michael Bereznak, 92, of West Mifflin, peacefully at home on Monday June 20, 2016. Born July 18, 1923, in Matovce, Slovakia, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Makita) Bereznak. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne, and a retired Dispatcher for the Port Authority of Allegheny County. Mr. Bereznak was a proud Veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in World War II. Beloved husband of the late Helen Jurkiewicz Bereznak. He is survived by his loving children, Michael (Late Lisa) of Gulf Port, FLA., Richard (Leonidas) of Edgewood, Lynn (Walter) Soukup of West Mifflin and David of West Mifflin; three Grandchildren, Adam (Amanda), Aela, and Michael; one great grandson, Jacob; and one sister, Ann Bereznak of Duquesne. In addition to his parents and beloved wife he was preceded in death by a brother, John (Mary survives) Bereznak and a sister, Mary (Late Jim) Mayher.

Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in SS. Peter and Paul Church, Duquesne at 10 A.M. with Rev. John Cuccaro as celebrant. Burial with Military Honors will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, West Mifflin.
