Roscoe E. Metz

Roscoe E. Metz, 83, of Duquesne died Wednesday June 10, 2015 in Charles Morris Nursing and Rehab Center, Pittsburgh. Born Nov. 19, 1931 in Mahoning Twp., he was the son of the late Peter and Maggie Downing Metz. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Duquesne a retired supervisor at U.S. Steel Homestead works, OH5, a member of the Duquesne – McKeesport Masonic Lodge 731, a Past Master of Lodge 731, and a former manager of the West Mifflin Little League Baseball Association.  In Addition to his parents, Roscoe was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lucille Wasko Metz, a son. Picky Metz and twelve brothers and sisters. He is survived by a daughter, Wanda (David) Pederson, six grand children, Robert Metz, Rachel Schmude, Eric Pederson, Justin Pederson, Rebekka Martin, and Katie Winters, seven great grandchildren also nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 1-3 and 7-9 P.M. in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford and Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne and on Friday from 10 until time of services at 10:30 A.M. in Christ Lutheran Church, 405 Kennedy Ave. Duquesne. Entombment will follow with military honors in McKeesport – Versailles Mausoleum.
