Sophia V. (Lalich) Lake, of Duquesne, died Saturday May 26, 2012 in Southwestern Nursing Center, Pleasant Hills. Born December 3, 1929 in Allenport, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Malden and Marie (Yonish) Vincentich. She was a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in McKeesport, the former owner of Valleybrook Stables, South Park, Past Orderly Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, and Sisters of St. Sava. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas Lake, she is survived by two sons; James Y. Lake of Lexington, KY. And Robert N. Lake of Versailles, KY., three brothers; Theodore Vincent of Arizona, Daniel Vincentich of Charleroi, and Kyser Vincentich of Cleveland, Ohio, and three grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Thursday May 31, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford and Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne. A Blessing in the Memorial Home at 9:15 A.M. on Friday will be followed by Requiem Services at 10 A.M. in St. Sava Church with Rev. Steven Rocknage officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
