Stella (Kott) Vorek

Stella (Kott) Vorek, 89, of West Mifflin died peacefully Thursday, December 27, 2012, at home.  Born September 7, 1923, in Monessen, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Koszykowska) Kott and the beloved wife of the late Raymond Vorek.  She was a member of Resurrection Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin. Mrs. Vorek was the loving mother of three daughters; Cindy (Jack) Hipple of Tampa, Florida, Eileen (Ralph) Carr of Edgewood, and the late Janice Kimball.  She is also survived by a sister, Pauline (Richard) Ragan of West Mifflin, son-in-law Wes Kimball, five grandchildren, Marie (Ed) Gornay , Susan (Mike) McCarthy, Jean (Kurt) Kuczewski ,  Amy (Casey)Leblanc and Michael Carr ; and nine great grandchildren, Kyle, Jared and Chad Gornay, Michael, Tiffany, and Kristy McCarthy, Raymond Kuczewski and Erica, and Isabelle Leblanc.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Sunday in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford and Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne. A Blessing in the Memorial Home on Monday at 10 A.M. will be followed by Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 A.M. in Resurrection Church with Rev. Nicholas Mastrangelo as celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, West Mifflin.
